MEET OUR TECHNICIANS
LYNN - TECHNICIAN MANAGER
Lynn has been at Milford Animal Hospital for too many years to count (more than 30!). She is a lifelong Milford resident and resides in town with her husband Jim and their English Cream Golden Retriever, Jigs. When she is not walking and training Jigs, she is fishing in the Long Island Sound.
JANET - TECHNICIAN MANAGER
After moving to Milford in 1994, Janet joined MAH having worked in zoos, exotic animal hospitals, and companion animal facilities in FL and VA. With their youngest in college, Janet and her husband spend their free time training their dog for hunt tests, going to collegiate horse shows, and rediscovering old pastimes. When not at work Janet can be most often found in a field training her retrievers for hunt tests and agility or visiting her children spread over three different states.
AMY
Amy joined the MAH team in October of 2020 after being in the veterinary field for four years. She recently completed her Veterinary Assistant Certification course at Middlesex Community College. She has two cats named Ralph and Rudy. When she’s not working, she is usually playing video games or searching for new TV shows to watch.
JOHN
John started working at Milford Animal Hospital in April 2021. He grew up in Milford and has lived all over Southern CT. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He has one cat named Tali. Outside of work he enjoys movies, tennis, snowboarding and playing his bass guitar.
EMILY
Emily has been with us at Milford Animal Hospital since September 2017. She grew up in New Jersey, but moved to Connecticut to earn her bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of New Haven in 2013. After working in the field for two years, she switched over to veterinary medicine where she’s been ever since. She now lives in Durham with her husband Brendan and four pets; a black cat named Binx, an orange tabby named Salem, a German shepherd named Blitz, and a rough collie named Scout. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and being active and outdoors as much as possible.
ASHLEY
Ashley started working at Milford Animal Hospital in January 2018. She graduated from Mount Ida College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2016. While at Mount Ida, she was a member of their student chapter of NAVTA (National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America). Prior to graduation, she completed (6) 130 hr. internships at small animal hospitals in Connecticut and Massachusetts. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and traveling to new places. She has an adorable Boxer mix rescue named Joy,
ALEX
Alex has been working at Milford Animal Hospital since November of 2022. In 2019 she graduated with an associate's degree from the Veterinary Technician Program at Middlesex Community College, and has been working in the field ever since. Alex lives in Middletown, CT with her 2 cats Maddox and Goose. She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with friends outside of work!
VICTORIA
Victoria has been working at Milford Animal Hospital since May of 2022. Prior to that she has worked as a technician for 9 years and has gained so much experience. She is always willing to helping her fellow technicians when they have questions or want to learn how to do things, she is quick to care for an animal in an emergency, and is also our diabetic education liaison. Victoria has her kitty cat Tinky at home who loves to follow her around and sit on her softest blanket on the couch.
ADRIAN
Adrian began working at Milford Animal Hospital in July of 2023 and graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Middlesex Community College in 2019. He has been a technician for the past 5 years and enjoys connecting with pets during the exam and making sure they feel the most comfortable they can. Adrian looks forward to learning and sharing his experiences with other technicians.
CARL
Carl has been a veterinary technician for over five years and first joined our team in 2022. After moving away, he returned to us in October 2024 and is thrilled to be back! With four dogs of his own, Carl brings a unique perspective and a deep passion for animal care to the clinic. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, savoring good coffee, and playing tennis.
BRIGETTE
Brigette joined Milford Animal Hospital in April 2024, bringing six years of experience in the veterinary field. She has a particular passion for working with lab equipment, running tests, and reading cytologies. Brigette and her husband, Daniel, are excited to move into their newly built home in Naugatuck, CT. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Gyzmo (affectionately known as Lucifer) and Letty, watching Daniel drag race, and relaxing with friends at their campsite.
MIA
Mia has been a part of the Milford Animal Hospital team for six months. She has a special talent for working with “spicy” kitties, helping them navigate their stressful exams with care and patience. At home, Mia has three cats—Ponci, Rambl, and Mono—and a beloved Chihuahua named Baby, who is a favorite among the MAH staff, especially Dr. Shutts! In her free time, Mia loves spending quality moments with her husband and son, cooking, and watching Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies at home.
MOLLYE
Mollye joined Milford Animal Hospital in August 2024. A Milford native, she graduated from Denison University in 2021 and spent two years in Salt Lake City managing a dog daycare and boarding facility. After returning to Milford, she completed the Veterinary Assistant course at Middlesex Community College in July 2024. In her free time, Mollye loves spending time with her dog Winnie and her family, hiking, traveling, and catching up with friends.
YSABELLA
Ysabella started a veterinary assistant course at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in September of 2023. She started interning for Milford Animal Hospital as apart of her externship for the program in January 2024. After completing her 100 hours, Ysabella became apart of the Milford Animal Hospital crew in February of 2024 and will continue her education in this field in the future since her love for animals will always be a strong passion and her dream is to become a veterinarian herself. She has worked with many other animals such as goats, sheep and even birds before starting and has loved every bit of it. She has her french bulldog named Gilbert who loves to be by her side in any situation especially if there's food around! Ysabella has many hobbies such as drawing, photography, baking and playing videogames with friends.
HEATHER
Heather is presently a student at UCONN with a major in Animal Science. She attended Trumbull’s Regional Biotechnology and Agriculture Center for high school, and while there, she spent most of her free time shadowing our doctors at MAH. She is now a Veterinary Assistant at MAH and plans on applying to veterinary school when she graduates in 2020.
